Norwegian People's Aid (NPA) is a politically independent, membership-based international solidarity organization founded in 1939 as the humanitarian arm of the Norwegian labor movement. Operating in Norway and over 30 countries globally, NPA is dedicated to improving living standards and fostering democratic, equitable, and safe societies through specialized focal areas in mine action, disarmament, sustainable development, and humanitarian relief. Established in Iraq since 1995 and operationally headquartered in Erbil, NPA works in close cooperation with more than 20 domestic partner organizations to champion democratization, human rights education, youth and women's empowerment, and strategic community-led advocacy.
