“The International, Constitutional, and Legal Rights of the Accused during the Investigation and Trial Stages.”

Within the framework of the project “Enhancing the Rule of Law and Increasing the Participation of Women and Youth in Decision-Making in the Kurdistan Region and Iraq,” IOL, Investigator Organization for supporting role of law and Democracy, in partnership with NPA, Norwegian People's Aid, organized a legal awareness training course in Erbil on 15 March 2023 entitled:
“The International, Constitutional, and Legal Rights of the Accused during the Investigation and Trial Stages.”
The training brought together civil society activists from different cities across the Kurdistan Region. It aimed to enhance participants’ legal awareness of the rights of the accused throughout the investigation and trial stages, in accordance with international standards, the Constitution, and applicable laws.
The training was delivered by Dr. Ahmed Miran, Chairperson of the Board of Directors of IOL, Investigator Organization for supporting role of law and Democracy, with the participation of 24 civil society activists representing various cities of the Kurdistan Region.
