Dr. Ahmed Miran, Chief Executive Officer of IOL participated in The Women’s Network of Gender Champions against Human Trafficking and Migrant Smuggling’s first annual general meeting.
According to the United Nation’s article The theme for the Network’s first AGM was: “Latest developments and challenges in GLO.ACT partner countries from the gender perspective” and it took place in Dubai, UAE, from 9 to 11 November 2021. The Network’s Advisory Board Members set the theme as it was identified as a priority foundational topic to guide the direction of the Network going forward.
IOL’s CEO Dr. Ahmed participated in the meeting by giving a brief lecture to focus on legal protections of illegal migration and accountability of smugglers, and the image of human trafficking in Iraq and the ways to confront them.
