As part of the ongoing activities of the “Reducing Early Marriage” project, the twelfth legal awareness session was held for students of Vanas Girls’ High School. The activity was implemented by the Investigator Organization for Supporting Rule of Law and Democracy (IOL), in partnership with the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), with financial support from UK Aid, and in coordination with the Ministry of Education – Erbil General Directorate of Education.
The session addressed a range of legal and social issues related to early marriage, with a focus on raising students’ legal awareness and strengthening their understanding of the implications of this issue. The session forms part of a series of awareness-raising activities implemented by the project to promote legal awareness among students, which will continue in a number of schools across the Kurdistan Region.
