The thirteenth legal awareness session was held for students of Rewas Girls’ High School. The activity was conducted as part of the “Reducing Early Marriage” project, implemented by the Investigator Organization for Supporting Rule of Law and Democracy (IOL) in partnership with the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), with financial support from UK Aid, and in coordination with the Ministry of Education – Erbil General Directorate of Education.
During the session, legal issues related to early marriage were addressed, with particular emphasis on the importance of legal awareness in strengthening students’ understanding of the different aspects and implications of this issue.
The session forms part of the project’s awareness-raising activities, which aim to enhance students’ legal awareness and understanding of issues related to early marriage and continue to be conducted in a number of schools across the Kurdistan Region.
