On September 6, 2025, within the framework of the “Internal and Interfaith Dialogue” project in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq, IOL, Investigator Organization for supporting role of law and Democracy, in cooperation with MEMECS and with the support of KAICIID, King Abdullah Bin Abdulaziz International Centre for Interreligious and Intercultural Dialogue, organized its third and final workshop entitled “Empowering Youth to Enhance Community Resilience: Building a Cohesive Society in the Kurdistan Region through Interfaith Dialogue and Crisis Response” in Duhok.
The workshop brought together a group of young people from diverse religious and ethnic backgrounds, with a primary focus on strengthening their roles and capacities in promoting dialogue, mutual understanding, and social cohesion.
The workshop explored the importance of interfaith dialogue and intercultural understanding as key tools for strengthening social cohesion and peaceful coexistence, as well as for addressing crises in a thoughtful and informed manner.
The workshop also provided a platform for critical thinking, dialogue, and group work, with the aim of strengthening young people’s capacities and empowering them to become effective and genuine agents of social change within multi-religious and multicultural communities.
