As part of the ongoing activities of the Investigator Organization for Supporting Rule of Law and Democracy (IOL), in partnership with the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), with financial support from the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation (AICS), and in coordination with the Ministry of Education, a series of legal and psychological awareness sessions is being conducted for preparatory-level students and their parents under the “Reducing Early Marriage in the Kurdistan Region” project, with the aim of strengthening their legal and psychological awareness.
As part of these activities, the tenth legal and psychological awareness session was conducted for High School-level students at Besaran High School. The session was held on 18 December 2023 and formed part of the project’s awareness-raising activities aimed at supporting students’ awareness and contributing to reducing the phenomenon of early marriage in the Kurdistan Region.
