As part of the “Reducing Early Marriage” project, the fifteenth legal awareness session was held for students of College Girls’ High School in Sulaymaniyah. The session was organized by the Investigator Organization for Supporting Rule of Law and Democracy (IOL), in partnership with the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), with financial support from UK Aid, and in coordination with the Ministry of Education – Sulaymaniyah General Directorate of Education.
The session addressed key legal and social issues related to early marriage, with discussions focusing on the importance of legal awareness and students’ proper understanding of the different aspects of this issue.
The session is part of a series of awareness-raising sessions and activities under the project, which aim to enhance legal awareness and strengthen students’ understanding of issues related to early marriage. These activities continue to be implemented in schools across the Kurdistan Region.
