With the aim of strengthening students’ legal awareness and enhancing their understanding of issues related to early marriage, the eleventh legal awareness session was held for students of Sabat Girls’ High School.
The session was conducted as part of the “Reducing Early Marriage” project, implemented by the Investigator Organization for Supporting Rule of Law and Democracy (IOL) in partnership with the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), with financial support from UK Aid, and in coordination with the Ministry of Education – Erbil General Directorate of Education.
The session addressed a number of key legal and social issues related to early marriage, with particular focus on the importance of legal awareness and enhancing students’ understanding of the implications of this issue. The activity forms part of a series of awareness-raising sessions and activities implemented by the project in schools across the Kurdistan Region.
