Within the framework of the Early Marriage Reduction Project, on 28–29 January 2025, the Investigator Organization for Supporting Role of Law and Democracy (IOL), in partnership with the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) and with financial support from the British Government – Department for International Development (UK-Aid), conducted a two-day training course for educational counselors under the title “Awareness Training Course to Strengthen the Legal, Social, and Psychological Knowledge of Educational Counselors.”
The training aimed to strengthen the knowledge and capacities of educational counselors in order to contribute to reducing the phenomenon of early marriage. Given the important and direct role educational counselors play in raising awareness among school students, developing their capacities in this area is of particular importance.
The course was delivered over two days by the experienced trainers Payraw Anwar and M. Youssef Othman, and covered a range of relevant legal, social, and psychological topics.
At the conclusion of the course, certificates of participation were distributed to all participants.
