Training Session on the Code of Conduct for Lawyers Held for Heads of Lawyers’ Chambers in Sulaymaniyah

As part of the activities of the “Code of Conduct for Lawyers” project, which was developed in coordination with the Kurdistan Bar Association and with financial support from the National Endowment for Democracy (NED), the Investigator Organization for Supporting Rule of Law and Democracy (IOL) conducted a project-specific session for heads of lawyers’ chambers in Sulaymaniyah Governorate.

During the session, all provisions and sections of the Code of Conduct for Lawyers were reviewed and discussed in detail. The participants’ comments and feedback were also considered, alongside discussions on the challenges and issues lawyers face in the course of carrying out their professional duties.

At the conclusion of the session, participants shared their views and recommendations regarding the Code of Conduct and lawyers’ professional experience, with discussions continuing to foster a shared understanding of the principles of professional conduct and the requirements of legal practice.
