Before the parliamentary elections of the Kurdistan Regional Government, the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) gathered female candidates from various political parties to participate in a workshop on online safety, data protection, and the use of technology and social media in their election campaigns and rights.

The workshop was organized with the support of the British and American consulates, the SEED Foundation, the Rudaw Media Network, and the Investigator Organization. The candidates were made aware of the importance of reporting safely, protecting themselves, and seeking protection services to ensure fair elections.
