review and discuss the provisions related to Chapters II and V of the (UNCAC) (Final Session)

In our closing session in Baghdad on December 8, 2024, with the participation of relevant parties from both governmental and non-governmental organizations, as well as the Federal Integrity Commission, an intensive and focused discussion session was held. The session concentrated on reviewing and discussing the provisions related to the second and fifth articles of the United Nations Convention against Corruption (UNCAC), where the implementation of preventive measures in both the public and private sectors was assessed.

The efforts of the Iraqi federal government and its agencies in combating corruption, as well as in recovering stolen funds and assets, were also evaluated. The discussion covered several interesting topics that were addressed in depth and recorded for later review.

These activities will continue into the new year until the final report is written.
