On June 25, 2025, as part of the project titled “Internal and Interfaith Dialogue in the Kurdistan Region/Iraq,” the Investigator Organization for the Rule of Law (IOL), in cooperation with MEMECS and with support from the KAICIID International Dialogue Centre, organized the first workshop under the title:

“Empowering Youth for Community Resilience: Building a Cohesive Society in the Kurdistan Region through Interfaith Dialogue and Crisis Response.”

The workshop took place in Erbil, with the participation of a group of youth from diverse religious and ethnic backgrounds.

The workshop discussed the importance of interfaith dialogue and cross-cultural understanding as a key tool for promoting social cohesion and addressing crises with wisdom and awareness.

The workshop also served as a space for critical thinking and teamwork, aimed at enhancing the capacities of young people and empowering them to become active agents of change within multi-religious and multicultural communities.

This workshop represented a genuine platform for listening, communication, and building a sustainable network of youth committed to peace, inclusive leadership, and a spirit of solidarity and initiative.
